Claire Gadd

Director & Founder of Your Tax Limited 

Claire qualified in AAT in 2008 and has worked in accountancy for 18 years. Prior to becoming the Director of Your Tax Limited she was a regional Financial & Management Accountant for a large professional services company. She started Your Tax Limited back in 2012, as she felt that she could use her skills and expertise to deliver a quality and reliable service across all aspects of accountancy.

Claire has a great passion for accounts and, with the support of her growing team, it brings her great pleasure to be able to help an expanding portfolio of clients with their business needs. She is happy that her services allow them to concentrate on all the other demands that come with running a business.

Away from work, Claire enjoys long walks with her Husband and dog as well as socialising with friends and family, travelling, horse riding and more recently, skiing.

Your strongest skill in this profession: Building and maintaining good working relationships with our clients and the team.

Your favourite film: Love Actually – a real ‘feel good film’.

Your favourite food: lobster thermidor – such a treat!

Your favourite holiday destination: the Maldives – amazing snorkelling & scuba experiences.

Interesting fact about you or skill that you have: I have swum with sharks!

Something that you’re bad at or don’t like doing: saying ‘no’! I try to build Rome on most days.

Chris Hageney

ACCA Qualified Accountant

Chris qualified with ACCA in 2004, and now has 20 years of accounting experience. In that time, he has worked with SMEs in all manner of industries, assisting clients with everything from statutory accounts and corporation tax through to tax planning and some corporate finance work.  

In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his son Jake, travelling, cinema, running and reading. 

Your strongest skill in this professioncommunication of complicated taxation and accounting matters.

Your favourite film: Casablanca (If I have to name one).

Your favourite food: Japanese noodles.

Your favourite holiday destination: the Far East.

Interesting fact about you or skill that you have: as a child, I learnt the piano-accordion.

Something that you’re bad at or don’t like doing: I can’t draw for the life of me, even my stick men are unconvincing. 

Chris Hageney – ACCA Qualified Accountant.

Martyn Todd

ACA Qualified Accountant

Martyn qualified as an ACA back in 1990 and has over 30 years of accounting and tax experience. After qualifying in practice he worked in commerce for several multi-site retail organisations extending his business skills with an MBA from Aston University in 1998. Martyn returned to general practice in 2002 and specialises in owner managed businesses and also the legal sector.

When his calculator is switched off Martyn enjoys playing tennis for Warwickshire Vets and playing classical guitar and piano.

Your strongest skill in this profession:  I believe I am a diligent, proficient and trusted advisor to all clients who face an increasingly complex financial and fiscal landscape.

Your favourite film: The Accountant starring Ben Affleck of course!

Your favourite food: Beef Bourguignon

Your favourite holiday destination: the Caribbean

Interesting fact about you or skill that you have: I’m the seventh child of a seventh child.

Something that you’re bad at or don’t like doing: parenting apparently, as my daughters regularly refer to me as Mr Scrooge.

Susan Mason

BSc in Logistics from Aston University

Susan has experience in helping SME’s set up and manage their day to day bookkeeping. She enjoys helping businesses in their decision making & forward planning by producing reliable accounting information. With a background in supply chains (BSc in Logistics from Aston University in 2001), she has a wide understanding of different business demands.

Susan works part-time to enable her to take her 3 children to endless clubs & activities!

Your strongest skill in this profession: Attention to detail.

Your favourite film: Les Misérables (the film and the show!).

Your favourite food: Halloumi.

Your favourite holiday destination: Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival.

Interesting fact about you or skill that you have: I am learning to tap dance!

Something that you’re bad at or don’t like doing: Telling jokes – I can never get the punchline quite right!
